| An excellent item for a specific purpose |
| This is not an item that the average person would probably have any real use for, but for some purposes it's indispensable. In my situation I have to support touchscreen PC's that don't have a keyboard or mouse attached, and there are times when a keyboard and mouse are necessary. Rather than carrying around a full sized keyboard and a mouse, and not having a place to set either of them down while using the other (and how do you use a mouse against cinderblock walls if there's no table?), you can hold this in one hand while the other one types on the keys or uses the built-in mouse touchpad. The keys are really small, too tiny for touch-typing but then you won't want this for word processing anyhow.
It's only about 8 inches wide and 6 inches front to back and maybe 5/8" thick; it has a decently long cord attached. (So many items and appliances are ruined by the mfr saving two cents and providing too-short of a cord - this one is better.) If you need to have a keyboard and mouse for a computer where there is little space, or where those things are not able to be used conveniently, this is a godsend. Possibly there could be some handicapped persons who would also benefit from a device this small that provides both the keyboard and mouse.
If I have any gripes about this little mini keyboard it is that you have to make sure the num lock hasn't engaged, because if it does, some of the keys revert to typing numbers instead of regular characters as it turns some of the keys into a numeric keypad arrangement, but you get used to watching for this and avoiding it.
You might also find this useful if you have a 'utility' pc tucked away as a file server, which does not usually need a keyboard and mouse left lying around. You plug this in to the USB port, Windows installs it promptly, and voila, you have a keyboard and mouse.
Someone apparently thought my little mini keyboard was pretty cute and walked off with it - and I had to buy another one immediately, because for my purposes, there's nothing else like it. I showed the vendor who provides the touch screen PC's and he bought some for his employees to use, and they found out just how handy this is.
It's well made, or so it seems, much like any typical computer keyboard only smaller. If you need a mouse and keyboard in a pinch, and don't have space or place to put the regular items, this is perfect.
