This is the OQO2 Bluetooth Keyboard, compare prices before you buy / Feels flimsy when typing
This is the OQO2 Bluetooth Keyboard, compare prices before you buy since OQO website doesn't provide the manufacturers model number.

Feels flimsy when typing, because the center fold never fully locks when opened.

    +PROS+

    -CONS-
    - Device stand seems flimsy to remove and replace, seems like it will break when removed.
    - Chrome exterior for the flanks instead of brushed metal or matte black, scratches up just like the back of an iPod.
    - Enclosed neoprene zipper case is an extremely tight fit, tighter than other Stowaway cases we've used.
    - The center half of the accordion never fully locks versus other Stowaway devices so TGBYHNUJMIL,. keys feel like you're pushing down further than the rest of the keys, it will either annoy you or you'll become accustomed to it.

    -Comprehensive commentary-
As an long time owner of Stowaway products from the first version made for the Ipaq 3800 series and numerous versions since, this is really a lower quality device from the Stowaway line.

Initial impressions are similar to prior products, until you notice the exterior is bright chrome, not stainless steel but the same type of scratch prone chrome that is the back of the Apple iPods and will scratch just as easily. Earlier Stowaways were matte brushed black and stood up well to scratches and imperfections, it makes no sense they chose chrome.

The battery door requires dexterity to seal, after inserting the enclosed Duracell AAA battery closing the cover is a lesson in delicate handling or it feels like it will just break. A prior reviewer mentioned less than perfect instruction manual and the manufacturer has listened since our version was easy to use, the multilingual instruction book was over 14 pages of advertisements only 4 pages of text and illustrations and the pairing instructions are in the quick start guide up front.

There is a removable PDA stand affixed to the underside, the removal instructions are inadequate and it seems easy to break the device stand when removing and inserting, if you use the stand frequently, then just leave it unaffixed from the bottom because it will eventually break during removal and reinsertion.

For OQO2 owners, the stand can be used to keep the OQO propped up at a 45 degree angle and the headphone jack can still be used even with the extended battery, consider this in lieu of buying the docking station if all you need is stand the OQO up for private audio.

    Pairing Instructions:
-While your host device (cell phone, blue tooth PC, etc) is in pairing mode:
    1. There is barely noticeable white button and led pair above the "0" and "-" key, use a push pin to depress the white button and hold until the LED gives a faint flicker of light.
    2. After the device is discovered, the hosting device will prompt you to enter a four digit passkey on the keyboard, this ensures the keyboard is working and completes the pairing process, YOU SHOULD USE THE STOWAWAY KEYBOARD TO ENTER THE PASSCODE INSTEAD OF THE BUILT IN KEYBOARD OF YOUR HOST DEVICE.

    - If pairing fails, remove the battery for at least 15 seconds, reinsert and repeat.

We give it four stars for the decline in feel and the new chrome exterior.

    Great universal keyboard
Great keyboard, much heavier than expected. Instructions suck - you have to press the little white button with a paperclip or something to make it discoverable, then enter the 4 digit code on the keyboard and press enter.
Best portable keyboard I've ever used
I've used a lot of different portable keyboards, but this is by far the best keyboard I've used. The size of the keys are perfect for touch typing, and the dedicated number keys are a God-send! The battery life is also excellent as I have been using mine daily for about two weeks now and so far so good.
    Check compatibility carefully
I bought this keyboard for my son's Christmas present for use with a Nokia N95 phone. It uses the Symbian operating system, and this keyboard information indicated that operating system was supported. It turned out, however, that this support was only partial: only some Symbian phones are compatible, others are not. It took a visit to the manufacturer's website and a substantial amount of time to determine this was why it did not work with the phone. It was not disclosed anywhere in readily available, more easily accessible form. Check carefully before purchasing that your particular device is supported.
    BT Keyboard
Purchased this keyboard for use with Nokia N800. Easy to link up, feels flimsy yet works beautifully. Much better keyboard feel then my Dell L131 laptop. Screw fell out of top of keyboard but is not affecting the operation. Would buy again.
