| Better than some - but also better options out there now! |
| I bought this over a year ago, after comparing several cordless options and their reviews. Overall, it was relatively easy to hook up - though not as easy as some that are currently available.
This one does allow hook up to a PS2 connection for older computers. (In "non-geek-speak", that means it connects with little round-ended plugs with green and purple plugs - check compatibility before ordering!).
As the first wireles keyboard/mouse I owned, the keyboard "had me at hook-up". The mouse was an entirely different tale --- it just responded very poorly. (You won't win any games using it, that's for sure), so I ended up going back to one of my old "corded-Version" mouses (or is that mice??), until I purchased a Logitech MX600 Laser Cordless Mouse. (Talk about easy set-up, on that one just plug the provided USB connector in an open slot, and it recognizes the hardware!)
The keyboard (after providing very good basic service) recently died in a battle with a spilt bottle of water. This proved to be fortunate. I've since bought the Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110 (967561-0403) for less than this combo (even with a guarantee against accidental fights with water), and both the mouse and keyboard work FAR BETTER than this one.
My newer versions have far better software that allows even the most non-techy person to tailor buttons to meet their needs. And, I'm sure for the price there are better options to fit your needs.
BOTTOM LINE: Not your best option for the price. Make sure you compare others and compatibily to your system first.
