| Product works, no support |
| I bought this for use with a PS3. Using the controller to enter text is awful, so I thought I would get a bluetooth keyboard. I bought this mainly because it cost less than the Logitech bluetooth keyboards.
The box says it works with a PS3 and it does, but the documentation is strictly for setting up with a vista computer. The product is made in China and I would assume the documentation is too. It references things that aren't clearly labeled.
I was finally able to get it working by pressing a tiny button on the back of the keyboard that is hard to tell is even a button.
The product is very lightweight and works. Some of the keys seem to be kind of loose. There's a power button that doesn't seem to do anything. There's always a blue light that stays on regardless if you hit the power button. Maybe the power button is supposed to turn off the computer or ps3. Don't know. It doesn't state anything in the documentation. It runs on 2 AAA batteries that aren't supplied and I hope the blue light doesn't cause the batteries to burn out quickly.
Overall, it's typical of a cheap made in China product. Poor documentation. No phone number or email address to contact in case you need help and the product is kind of flimsy. But it works. I guess you get what you pay for.
| | works in linux, nonstandard key placement |
| I had no significant problems getting this keyboard to work in linux. However, once it was working I found that it had one major flaw: unlike all standard 104 keyboards, this one placed the "\" key between "'" and "enter". As a result, this puts the enter key an extra standard key length past where it should be, and makes hitting enter quite aggrevating for an experienced touch typist such as myself. If you have to "hunt and peck" for your keys, this should be no problem, but experts may want to shy away from this keyboard.
| | This keyboard had poor instructions. Once we finally got it to work, three of the keys kept repeating as if we were pressing them down. We must return this defective product.
| | DO NOT BUY THIS KEYBOARD PERIOD!!! 10 days after I received this keyboard one key fell off while I was typing and the R key broke when I hit it with my pinky, buy the official keyboard with better features and it is a lot more durable than this cheap piece of junk.
