| Everything you'd ever want from a keyboard: |
| GE is one of the only companies that make a traditional old-style keyboard these days. It is such a joy to have the [ENTER] key and the slash keys ( [/] [\] ) in their correct places and shapes. I've been using mine for nearly three years now and the only reason I want to buy a new one is due to the keys becoming sort of grimy with so much daily use and not in any way due to a problem with it. It works as well today as it did the day I took it out of the box three years ago.
They touch response of they keys are excellent. They are springy yet solid. Best of all the keys are soft to the touch so they won't cause you finger joint pain. I am a pretty hard typer and use my computer a lot so a good feeling keyboard is important to me.
The only reason I didn't give this keyboard five stars is due to the multimedia buttons. The problem I have with them comes for the [Sleep] and [Power] buttons. The multimedia buttons are one touch wonders and they work well. But if you should happen to be writing, say, a 20 page report and accidentally hit the [Power] button on the keyboard then you had better hope you had saved recently cause the PC is going to be turned off and there is no way to stop it.
What I did to fix the problem was to open the keyboard and pull out those two buttons and put a piece of tape over the holes on the case. Problem solved!
Great keyboard! Great keys! Old-style button placement! Functional multimedia keys! Highly recommended!
