Nice fast keyboard for coding, speed typing, hard to see letters
I have found this keyboard to have very difficult to see lettering on in any high contrast lighting unless you hold your head straight over the top of the keyboard so you are looking down on the blue backlit keys. The light simply does not go bright enough to see them comfortably from normal typing position, particularly when you are typing with a bright monitor in front of you.

The keys themselves are pretty fast for text typing, it is easy to hit high speed typing as long as you don't need to pause and crane your neck over the keys to find one.

I don't use it for gaming, just coding, tech writing, etc. where the short stroke and precision of the keys is more important than repeat speed, etc.

If it weren't for the non-satisfactory illumination, would have rated it much higher due to the ability to speed type. Will be replacing it with the Fatality model and hope that one is as fast--but easier to read.
    Can't see letters in daylight
I bought this based on the pictures on the internet. However, none of the pictures I saw were apparently in conditions of bright daylight. Unfortunately, the letters are actually clear on a black background and I found them very hard to see during the day. At night the keyboard looks great but it really needs a dark environment to shine. I returned it....
    It is a keyboard
NOt a lot of fancy stuff, a few lights and some ok software. There are better gamer keyboards out there, get this if you don't want to spend more. Look for razor or logic.

Cheap Quality, Keys Wear Off Quick
I've used many keyboards over the years and currently have 8 keyboards in the house for 2 computers. I can say that this keyboard caught my attention for the looks and the backlighting.

Unfortunately, like the Saitek, the letters wore off of this keyboard in a short period of time. Within a few weeks of use my E,S,D keys were completely worn away. I do spend a fair amount of time on the computer, and play online games with heavy keyboard usage, but still a few weeks isn't very long for a new keyboard.

I would have rated this a 1 except for the fact that the keyboard does look nice and the media keys function as expected.
pretty keyboard, but hardly appropriate for anything beyond gaming.
I've had this keyboard for 6 months. While it is very pretty(backlighting works well in my room) and fine for gaming, it is not the typist special. The keys are very very stiff and wear out my fingers fast after a few sentences. Very stiff! I have a $20 A4 wireless combo with mouse on another computer whose cheapo keyboard(while shallow in key feel) is like Paradise to type on in length next to the Creative Spectre.

Wearing has not been a major problem (only part of the S key) but then again from how I abhor typing on this keyboard thats no surprise.
