    Amazing Multimedia Keyboard!!
    Pros:
This product is amazing. I was looking for a multimedia keyboard to replace my Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse. This has everything that is needed in a multimedia keyboard. It is full size so you have the much needed number pad. And the media center shortcut buttons are well placed. It has great reception and I haven't had any problems with it freezing up like I did with my Microsoft model. The track ball moves smoothly and it doesn't take long to get used to. This thing is perfect for surfing the net from the couch or Lazy-Boy.

    Cons:
The one con is that the learn button on the bottom of the keyboard sticks out enough that you can accidentally press it while using the keyboard. Then you have to go to the comp and reset it. I solved this problem by taking the keyboard apart and just cutting the button down with a pair of snips.
    Best Keyboard
This product is my dream keyboard. The wireless system works perfectly, each time to power up your computer you just press the mouse button and the keyboard begins working instantly. The dedicated multimedia keys are very well distributed, the trackball is perfect and even more efficient than a mouse because you don't need space to move it and the movements are really very precise, thats why the trackball is the preferred device for advanced cad and technical users.
The keyboard has worked perfectly, no problem with key assignment or typing speed. I really can recommend this product.
    Works great!
Excellent remote keyboard with trackball. I use it to play Windows Media Audio from my living room computer to watch on the 52" LCD Hi-Definition television using various visualizations, including G-Force and White Cap. Great for parties! No need to get up to go to the keyboard to change songs. Can do it from across the room (after I set my martini down!). Trackball is great, and is quick to get accustomed to.
    Passable
after reading the other reviews i figured i'd try this keyboard. the word "unimpressed" springs to mind. build quality is basic; it's probly not going to disintegrate, but everything about it feel very cheap. everything about the keyboard is also quite functional, but i couldn't get over how cheaply made the entire device felt. i returned it after one week. other than the passable build quality, significant deficiancies were:

keyboard layout: one of the few media center keyboards with a number pad. however, the design crams many of the useful keys (arrow keys, enter) into a tiny patch and compresses them so they aren't even as wide as laptop keys.

reconnect button: it's placed *exactly* where everyone who picked up the keyboard first placed the palm of their hand. i had to reconnect the keyboard almost every time i picked it up because of that reason. even after changing my habit, i would still bump it & have to go through the reconnection procedure again.

that week wasn't all bad though. it was excelent at a few things:

range: well beyond the length of my house. i started losing accuracy a floor down from my entertainment center. even the mouse remained as accurate as being a foot away. reception was perfect; never dropped a keystroke or mouse movement.

media buttons: it has a full compliment of the most useful media buttons in a decent grouping on the left. i would have only asked for a sleep/wake button.

trackball: extremely accurate & usable. next best thing to using telepathy. if it hadn't felt so cheaply made, that trackball would probably have sold me.

also i craved a backlight, but thats just nitpicking. it has very good media center features but the build quality of a $10 keyboard. i would have kept it had it been priced around $30-40.

    The complete wireless unit
This Adesso multimedia keyboard is perfect for my particular system. My media center pc is attached to my living room LCD TV, and I needed a wireless keyboard with a built-in mouse. Computing from my couch - what could be better? The optical trackball built in to this unit seems the perfect solution.

I'm also particularly pleased that it has a complete 10-key pad (most similar keyboards of this type don't) and the media keys make it easy for me to control DVD playback (I don't even need my stand-alone DVD player any more - or its easily misplaced remote).

My one complaint would be the inconvenient stand-by mode brought on by bumping the all-too-accessible reset button. It's easy enough to get it started again, but still, could you make it a bit harder to unintentionally freeze the thing?

Other than that, I'm pleased as punch with this thing. It feels solidly made, and it functions reliably.
